Captain Dave Spargur

Captain Dave Spargur, Englewood, FL

Captain Spargur is one of Englewood’s “hometown boys.” Having grown up in our community, to only later serve as a Firefighter in our town, we are so very pleased to have Dave among our group of Captains. Dave retired from the Englewood Fire Control District and now works full-time as a charter captain. His knowledge of the water around Englewood is pretty much ingrained in both his head and heart.

You will be fishing aboard Captain Spargur’s Aquasport Flatback 222 boat, powered by a 175 HP Mercury engine. The vessels is equipped with navigational electronics, including a fish finder and a GPS, as well as with a Yeti 125 cooler and an anchoring system. Moreover, there is also a live bait tank on board. The boat can cater to up to four anglers.

Captain Dave offers a variety of fishing trips to choose from. For those anglers who are passionate about Tarpon, there is a special four-hour package. On Dave’s trips, you will be heading inshore or to the Stump Pass back bay waters. Among your targeted species will be Snook, Tarpon, Jack Crevalle, Goliath Grouper, Bluefish, Redfish, Flounder, and Trout. Captain Dave will see to your every need and will ensure your fishing adventure is an enjoyable and eventful one.

Our charters come complete! All equipment, bait, and licenses are provided by the Captain.

You are welcome to bring your own beverages and snacks if you'd like, and we certainly recommend sunscreen and protective clothing/hats.

We only ask that you please refrain from wearing dark soled shoes as they tend to mar the deck of the boat.
