Captain Gabriel “Gabe” Kovacs, an experienced local captain who has over 43 years of fishing experience has made quite a name for himself in the Venice area. Located right by the Venice Inlet, Capt. Kovacs and his first mate, Bobby, are ready to take you fishing offshore in the bountiful Gulf of Mexico.
Your fishing trip will take place aboard a stable and sturdy SeaCraft boat that features a T-Top and a toilet in the center console for the comfort of everyone on board. There is plenty of space on the boat for up to six people to fish, and it is fitted with top of the range electronics by Furuno and Garmin to pinpoint the very best fishing spots for the conditions on the day.
Capt. Kovacs specializes in bottom fishing for species such as Snapper and Grouper, although they are also happy to do trolling and kite fishing on your charter. They catch a wide range of species, including Kingfish, Red Snapper, Triggerfish, Cobia, and many more. Both light and heavy tackle is carried on board to make sure you have the right tools for whatever the day’s fishing throws at you.
All the equipment and fishing licenses you will need for your trip are furnished, and Captain Gabe will also be glad to clean and fillet your catch once you return to the dock.
